Our goal is to generate large amounts of data for AI to learn how to interpret genomic sequences and understand their ecological functions, such as carbon and nitrogen utilization.
In microbial ecology, a significant challenge is that we often don’t know what the uncharacterized genetic variations in the environment mean. This lack of understanding makes it difficult to decipher what’s happening in environmental samples. Additionally, we’ll create models to map how the combination of functions in a community influences the overall community function.
