- Possess advanced skills and a strong interest in technology, engineering, or mathematics during their studies.
- Be between the ages of 15 and 17 when the program begins.
- Belong to one of the eligible regions, including Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, South and Central Asia, Western Hemisphere, Europe and Eurasia, or the USA.
- Have a desire to pursue higher education and a career in the field of technology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have no prior experience in the USA or who have not visited the USA in the last three years.
- Be willing to complete a community service project in their home country after returning from the program.
- Display a mature, flexible, and open-minded attitude.
- Be prepared to attend at least one additional semester of schooling upon their return to their home country.
